Cleaning Dog Ears
Cleaning your dogs ears should be part of their regular care. Dogs with floppy ears, or dogs that spend a lot of time in or around water are especially prone to ear infection. Check your dogs ears weekly, a tell tale sign your dog may have an ear infection is often smell.
How to Clean Your Dogs Ears
Take a cotton ball, put some dog ear cleaner on, just enough to wet it, but not enough to drip off. Wipe the inside of the dogs ear thoroughly, repeat until the cotton ball comes out clean. If there seems to be debris or gunk deeper in your dogs ear, do NOT attempt to clean this out yourself, take your dog to the vet and they will safely flush this out.
To prevent ear infection, clean your dogs ears on a regular basis and keep internal and external ears as dry as possible.
